The first isis record is quite weak, and compared to the ones that followed it, so is Oceanic. CoL on the other hand, have been consistently strong since Salvation.

Mosquito control isn't the same brand of post metal as their later records. So if you don't like old school sludge, then I can see why you don't like it. personally I think its a brilliant record

Oceanic is their best album

stuff before that is great but the stuff after is better

CoL are nowhere near Isis' level
