Kezia is worse. It's good, though.

wow, this is really what a review should be like. but i can understand that not many albums will have a whole bunch of recordings secrets that fortress had. to be honest i had to idea rody sang every single vocal part, i could have sworn the lows were done by arif, especially in "the dissentience", as you mentioned.

CAUGHT WITHIN THE CORPUS CURSED, CONSCIOUS HUMAN BRAIN.

This is beautiful still. Kezia may be better. But this is better than Kezia. /redundant.

Kezia has better replay value, lyrics, and loads more memorable moments.

Best parts of each song...?

1. OH!

2. OH, SITTING ACROSS TELL STORIES, EYES UNCLOSED LIKE BOOKS WE'VE READ TWICE.

3. THE ROYALTY MUST DIE.

4. WE FEEL NOTHING

5. To find the perfect equilibrium like FOSSILS!

6. DO NOT CRAWL BEFORE ME, I WILL NOT HEAD YOUR appeal.

7. CAUGHT WITHIN THE CORPUS CURSED, CONSCIOUS HUMAN BRAIN.

8. No br00tal vox, song not worth it.

9. At the tip, at the tip, at the tip, at the tip of my TONGUE.

10. No br00tal vox wtf.

Basically my extended way of saying that Rody's growls are absolutely beautiful, and easily the best part of each song.

I was kinda leery of the whole "core" thing, but damn this is a good album! I'll probably check out Kezia soon.

I mostly agree with Waior except that Goddess Gagged has the best ending on the whole album.

True enough. Except that it's almost laughably cliche to end the album with the lyrics "the music has stopped."

nah, that wasn't cliched. That was great. The best ending though was Sequoia Throne.

"Stuffing corpses full of shit and faith

They bloviate about a future beyond the moon

To bring about another planets doom

To discover peaceful life

And beat a war-drum to it's tune

Unless my prayers are answered

And our end is coming soon."

I don't know... Bloodmeat ends strongly too. Not to mention Wretch.

Hell, almost all of them. Rody has really improved and gotten on par with the rest of the band now.

I don't listen to too much metal.

I like this a lot, though.
