Marrow is my #2. I sometimes struggle with Black Lake but otherwise it passes as smoothly as this one. Into the Painted Grey is probably my favorite individual Agalloch song

The bass in the melodic section at the end of Falling Snow is one of my favorite subtle Agalloch moments. We don't get winter here between the tropics but I usually wait for the super cold June-July period to jam some Agalloch!

Yeah, that bass part rules. That whole jam bit at the end of Falling Snow is amazing.

The whole outro on Falling Snow is on par with the outro on Isis - Garden Of Light.

The whole outro on Falling Snow is one of the only sections of any song to consistently make me tear up whenever I listen to it.

I wanted to compare the greatness to that outro to an Isis song too!

Record's fucking incredible and Mantle and Marrow still somehow better it. Fucking shame a band this good went out the way they did

Eh, break-up itself was apparently about disagreement over touring commitment. Haughm's follow-up Pillorian project, though, disbanded after some anti-semitic bullshit he put on social media so who knows. But it all happened suddenly with hard feelings

I heard Haughm tried to copyright/trademark the band’s name because everyone’s back.

Starting from a place of trust and proudly displaying your anti-Semitic convictions are purely performative, if that’s the case
