They’re little experimental/instrumental tracks.

Party Smasher, Lurch, Nong Eye Gong, and 82588 all go hard. The other short ones are interlude style tracks.
Albums flow is perfect imo

I used to kinda agree with this review.

Same here, I didn’t like this for years other than a select few tracks. But it grew like a motherfucker.

"Will always be proud of the mini movement I started a few years back for this album, this used to get lambasted."
I was definitely somebody who really wrote this album off on my few initial listens of it. After continually trying, I ended up loving it. For context, I initially had this at a 2 when I first joined the site basically and didn't change till years later.

Mouth of Ghosts is an all time great.
Horse Hunter grew on me a lot too, probably my second favorite here.

This is decent and has some awesome tracks, but ultimately feels pretty choppy and disjointed. And the heavier songs tend to sound samey. But I’m gonna give it a fee more listens to see if it grows. Milk Lizard, Party Stomper, Dead as History abd Mouth of Ghosts are all great tracks.

82588 slaps hard, wouldn’t be surprised if the heavier cuts grow on you. This started at around a 3 for me and grew for years.

Yeah don’t be surprised when you end up loving it in a few years.
Been a fan since 2013 and it wasn’t until like last year that I started loving it

Yeah I think once the heavier cuts grow, I’ll dig it more. Again, they just sound samey right now. Probably will take some listens for them to stand out individually.
But I actually like some of the slower songs and electronic interludes/segues.

Imagine what this felt like in 2007, pretty weird time
Everyone was sure that TDEP officially sold out. When Option Paralysis came out it crushed that feeling, they got even more weird and heavy.

I agree Lark, I really like the experimental interludes. The singles kinda drag and the heavy segments are a bit samey, but the final track is amazing. Overall decent album

"And the heavier songs tend to sound samey."
I assure you, that will change with time. Super good rage music. Got one or two kinks but it's the album of their's which I would jam the most along with MM, so much fantastic material.

The shorts cuts make this feel a bit disjointed at times.
