As far as their performances go? Maybe.
Though I got some issues with the setlist. Only two Waking the Fallen tracks and Nightmare and The Stage have yet to come out.

As someone who called the s/t their favorite album ever throughout all of middle school... I love the setlist, though yeah I do with they could’ve thrown eternal rest in there or something.

So glad they put it on spotify. The production and vocals on this/CoE/WtF are so drastically different from album to album and it’s nice to listen to all those songs with one centralized sound.
Also really love what Shadows does with the WtF songs given he was no longer screaming at that point. I’d venture to say those versions of Second Heartbeat and Unholy Confessions are superior to the studio versions.

Second Heartbeat does sound dope on that performance but I would've liked to hear the screams lol. He did what he could at least, and the added singing parts he did sounded dope. Idk why they cut out that one section of it tho, made it like 2 minutes shorter lol

I was actually jamming this tonight and thinking how unfairly maligned this was upon release. It seems to have earned some good will as the years passed, but this got so much hate at first. It’s genuinely great pop-metal and I still think despite the fact that in comparison to their previous material it’s more streamlined and “mainstream”, them going in this direction was way riskier than just making a City of Evil Pt.2.

meh
as a cohesive album this blows, though there are a few songs here that I'd put up there with their best
Namely Afterlife and Brompton Cocktail

Though I do agree that they took some risks, considering its the only album I can think of that has an undead necrophilia themed Tim Burton-esque epic, a hokey country ballad, and pop metal with autotuned hooks.
So there's that.

There’s a decent album in there somewhere, buried under all of the nonsense.
And I still think Lost could’ve been a good tune if they hadn’t fucked it up with the vocal effects on the chorus
