Even though I’m a huge Pumpkins fan, I unfortunately have a bad feeling about the upcoming album. It’s only eight songs and the songs are fairly short. Feels slight, like Monuments (my least fav Pumpkins album).
Solara isn’t that great. Silvery Sometimes is decent, but not particularly memorable. I want something in the vein of Oceania as far as new music goes, not another Monuments.
But I’m still hoping and I already pre ordered the CD

Here are the lyrics.
"Candy cane walks down
To build a bonfire to break my fall
My baby, my sweet thing
Just maybe we could lose ourselves this time
King of the horseflies, dark prince of death
His tragic forces are heaven sent
In sweet things, in a lover's breath
In knowing this was meant to be the last
A go go go kids, a go go go style
A suck suck suck kiss, a suck suck suck smile
As always in young need
A veiled promise to never die
On dead highways, her black beauties roam
For June angels, so far from home
For a love lost, a faded picture
To tread lightning, to ink the lavender skies
So get on, get on, get on the bomb
Get back, get back where you belong."
What do YOU get out of this?

In my opinion is very much like Soundgarden's room a thousand years wide or never the machine forever, it's like a personal battle with your own demons and emotions From an existential point of view but in a Tolkien's style. In a few words is about human struggle in life but with Camus concept of the absurd

See, that's an easy one! Basically, Zeus is fucking Dione. They're getting their freak on at Mt. Olympus, and Zeus uses his abs and impressive lightning powers to seduce Dione; it works quite well, and the sexual energy is rampant. However... OH NO! Hades (the "dark prince of death" in this story if you're following along) walks in on the couple! How did he even make it to Olympus uninvited and unannounced? Who knows... it probably has to do with the fact that Zeus was spending more time being horny than actually taking charge of his own sacred land. Anyway, Zeus expels Hades from Olympus once again, expending his fury and might on the one who might spread some steamy drama and controversy later down the road. Zeus' final words were: "get back, get back where you belong."
So yeah, it's a pretty easy explanation, honestly. I didn't know Billy was so interested in Greek mythology and religion, however.

Ha!
You give a good reason for leaving songs wide open to interpretation.

Well this holds up better than pretty much anything else I liked 15 years ago, nice. I must admit that even back in those days I rarely listened to disc 2, but disc 1 is so damn consistent.
