I agree with the original review. But if you guys haven't noticed, the CD has a general storyline. Give them a little credit for trying something new. If only the radio hadn't BUTCHERED "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". I would have given Jesus of Suburbia a 5/5 and the same for Homecoming. I really didn't like "Are We the Waiting" except the drum part. Nor did I really like "Give Me Novacaine". And after Dookie, people started turning their backs on Green Day because they had a huge record deal. And that's why "Good Riddance" was written which basically is a declaration to the world FU and I don't give a **** what ytou think. So just because they have become popular doesn't mean you can't like them. Of course I am a bias opinion.

No it isn't. This is the second best GD album. Great stuff on this one. St. Jimmy, Homecoming, Give Me Novocaine and Letterbomb.

love this album to death. probably my fav green day album. Idk the others were good this one just feels more serious and down to earth and a real message. idk just my opinion. Todays music lacks a message or stories.

I can't believe someone gave this album a one. No Green Day fan can give this a 1. Its a 5 or at least a 4. If you hate the album so much, than don't buy it. Obviously you don't own it bc obviously you dont like Green Day.
Ugh, they're one of the worst bands I've ever seen.
When I saw, they were good. I have seen a lot of performances on television, and those were absolutely dire.

Well... I was pretty happy with this album, for Green Day. But it just didn't stick with me. I'm sick of the album, it's just overplayed.

yep, awesome album, i like it cos the songs are better structured and they have alot more meaning then most of theire other stuff, my favs definately jesus of surburbia, but all the songs are good on this album, this album has made green day ALOT more popular amoungst everyone, however this is a bad thing as you get little "skaters" an "punks" comin along with their green day thinkin they know everything.........anywho, good review :thumb:

its very infectous. yes a lot of songs strike you as being great on first listen but a lot dont. and if you give it time and you are a fan of the genre all of the songs will be classics in your ears as you basically cant get away from the lyrics everytime you hear them. also if you play guitar (beginner) this stuff is great.

Why, because the singles are overplayed on the radio? It's not the band's fault that people like their singles so much, and it's not the band's fault that radio dee-jays decided to play the music.

Sucess isn't selling out, purposefully changing your music in order to make more money is.This Message Edited On 08.09.05

Something Vague you took the words right out of my mouth. I've defended this album more times than I can even remember and I'm just sick of it. This is a great album in my opinion, one of Greenday's very best and an exciting new direction for them. If you don't agree with that opinion that's fine but don't spout some bullshit about a band selling out because they've become successful.
