The Outsider video is true art

Would have been much better to write that this album is arguably a step downward from Mer De Noms. Many would disagree with that opinion, but you write it as though it's the widely held view.

I feel like most fans I talk to are split on which is better, which is a good thing. Both are incredible in different ways.



I can't get over how much The Doomed has grown on me. The second verse of that song is insane. Feathers is also absolutely amazing. Hourglass was super weird at first but that one also grew on me. Any reservations I had about the new album not meeting expectations have been quashed.

Both of the new singles are really good. They aren't at the same level as classic APC but I'm expecting a very solid album.

As someone who loves this album I do think pet is overrated. One of the weakest ones

The most special thing about it is Maynard's vocal performance tbh. But it's just a thrilling, crushing song, the riffs hit hard with their simplicity, the friction of the melodies has that pushing feeling that just draws me into it. Also, in combination with that, the brilliant lyricism and the urgency in Maynard's aforementioned performance just make this song come to life. One of their best imo (Orestes is my favorite though).



Package is also awesome, but it strolls a lot more. It's a very different song from the very dark and energetic pet, so I would see why someone wouldn't like both if he looks for the same things in both.
