Album is solid but i think Leviathon is much better...Colony of Birchmen, Siberian Divide, and Bladecatcher are all ace tracks however

Leviathan tops this in so many ways. They really regressed as far as quality goes with this record, though it's still a great listen.

Yea, it feels like they're just trying to replicate the goodness of Leviathon in a lot of parts...i like that they seem to be taking some risks but the end result here just isn't as quality...still gotta get Remissions because i love this band, i just think they can be a lot better

The Wolf Is Loose is epic....my favourite track on here. Although, sometimes I tend to get bored of this album after listeningto 7or 8 songs

Leviathan owns this.
I dont see much of the hype surrounding "The Wolf Is Loose"
i think its the worst song on the album tbh.

When I first got this album I thought it was really good. I was still in love with Leviathan as I had only gotten it two weeks earlier, so for the first few weeks or even months I listened to and liked Leviathan more. After a while I decided to listen to Blood Mountain more to really experience it. Now, about six months and 200 complete listenings later, I have to say I this is my favorite metal album of all time. Its hard to say that because Ride the Lightning holds such a special place in my heart, but even though I don't want to think this is better I simply can't lie to myself.

because the expectation for music is way higher today then it was in the 60s,(ie: the complexity of metal these days) that The Beatles have become insignificant in comparison.

Revolver informed me that a drunk Brent Hinds instigated a beatdown with Shavo from System resulting in Brent Hinds drunken ass beating. White people these days.
