Not as bad as the review paints but oh my god, what the hell??
I do agree that the autotune is horrible, but the vocoder is fine (if i'm not mistaken on the name of the effect). I love bands that try something completly different, so kudos to them for that. That being said, I don't think I'll ever listen to this again.
But, this > Lulu.

this thing opens up more and more on every listen. totally get the viscerally negative reactions upon the first listen, but its such a novel + impenetrable sound i can't help but be mystified by the mechanics of it all. the first track is undoubtedly kinda bullshit but the proceeding three songs are really cool and really not that huge of step from libad as it seems
for what its worth, they seem to be performing the entire EP on their current tour as an opening act to themselves under the name 'statica'. there's promo going around teasing more 'statica' songs coming as well lmao.
