Yeah Fishhook keeps growing on me more and more. I love how authentic the whole thing is, which is honestly my favorite quality in Rody's lyrics in general. Like I love the Neil Pearts of lyric work, but the simplicity of Phil Lynotts lyrics make him my fav rock lyricist

Agreed, the lyrics really made me think deeply, because this year I’ve taken in two stray cats. One of them, having never been tamed, scratches me, and I’d been considering giving her up, but after hearing this song, I’ve immediately had second thoughts.
I’m going to look into Neil Peart and Phil Lynotts’s lyrics; I don’t know much about them.
