The production on the 2nd S/T is atrocious but there’s some decent songs on there despite that

Despite enjoying this all the way through, Abandon Us and The Fall of Us are probably the two tracks I'll revisit the most. Definitely a couple snoozers on here

Abandon Us and The Fall of Us are definitely the two strongest tracks on here. Aside from maybe the chorus, Abandon Us feels lifted right out of AOJB.

I'm came here to say pretty much exactly the same thing. My vote for snoozer goes to I Believe.

Read an interview with Adam where he said he made Jesse rewrite a song four or five times because the lyrics he turned in sounded like “dad advice”

Almost certainly I Believe, and I really wonder how bad the first draft was because it’s not exactly a lyrical high point on the album as is anyway lol

Shame Adam didn't just choose to can the song instead.

Atonement was better IMO. Band is on cruise control on this album.

No real highs on this album. It’s not bad but I don’t foresee this band really capturing the magic again. It’s fair though. Band has been in their lane for so long at this point.

KSE always had the lamest drumming of all these 2000s metalcore bands and this is no exception.

Album is forgettable. They will never reach the heights of their first four albums again.

I don’t get the “JFo bad” take. He’s a consistently solid drummer who hands in tight performances that commit to serving the song and don’t overplay. Sure, he’s not as flashy as he was in Red Tide or BHBS, but that’s not what KsE are going for anyway.

Yeah I never cared for the drumming in this band. All about the hooks, riffs, grooves and emotion. Drummer adequately fills the role he should.
