hells yea steakman. rebirths ofc amazing too, thats my fav off augment and does almost feel like "the definitive og erra song" to me. everything that made that era (lol) special in one glorious package. spirits away is amazing too, the back half when it really opens itself up sends me into the stratosphere. i could more or less understand anything from augment being someones favorite but those two in particular :chefs kiss:

and yea crawl absolutely goes. i wasnt in love with it as a single (altho thats true of literally all of them but blue reverie lol) but it popped majorly in context for me

not to muse again lmao but

a thing that i think is pretty neat about glimpse claiming the crown for me vs remnant is, remnant when i heard it was like "the song i knew i was looking for". eye of god was the first erra song i ever loved (i guess that makes that my first favorite erra song lol) and remnant feels like its brothers with that song. but perfect as it is in the lane that it is, i loved it because its sort of specifically what i wanted going in

wheras i wasnt excited for this and didnt really expect to like it at all and then glimpse just like shattered my mind and made me so ecstatically happy. i was already sold by that point in the tracklist that this in fact rocks but it was the best first listen ive had of any song ever (in part also because i was tripping acid and looking over a gorgeous lake). the moment i knew i would love these guys forever

Eye of God is also one of my all timers. I slammed tf out of it. In fact it’s still my most played Erra track lol

yeah the first time i heard that song i was immediately blown away. for like a year it was the only erra song i really loved until i jammed impulse way too high, fell asleep immediately and woke up right before the render outro, only to be hit with at the time the most beautiful vocal passage a young bubs had ever heard, who was promptly then like "what the fuck you guys are THIS good???"

and the rest was history lmao

This release is really starting to rub off on me, in the best ways. Coming from an og Impulse fan and playing in a band that shared the same stage as these guys, they've come a really long way, and although Drift and Neon didn't really capture my imagination like Impulse and Augment did, this album is taking all the motifs and moments these guys are capable of and making it a solid sound I don't think anyone can replicate.

still love this, and still the only ERRA album that fully clicks with me. sad to know they will probably shift away from this albums sound since it seems so divisive among fans

seeing these guys live tonight with Silent Planet and Resolve, set list is heavy on this album so have listened to this a bit over the last few days, while it's good, self titled is just way better

Show was outstanding. Jesse is probably the most talented musician I've ever seen live. He is unbelievable.
