happy birthday to your bro. I really understand his position on that. Being an alcoholic is the absolute worst, but in my experience alcoholics are some of the nicest people around, and im not talking the town drunk. Im talking the “guy who will literally die if he stops cold turkey” alcoholics. They’ve been through hell and I think empathize with others better because of that.

I can control it better these days, but I end up slipping if something terrible happens. I really fell off the wagon hard when I found out my friend died back in January. I wish I could be normal and just moderate and *only* have 2-3 beers but my brain just isn’t wired that way. It’s sober or im drinking to get trashed

Yeah I'm in a pretty decent spot with his passing at the moment. I see a grief counselor and have a wonderful support system in my wife and 2 brothers and parents. There's good days and bad days.Back to the music, I am saving the singles for the whole record which is driving me crazy. What's the release date again?

I'm so excited for the upcoming LP! I was actually asked to do the artwork for it – my work didn't end up being used for the cover, but I some of my comps will likely be repurposed for merch! Between getting on Damnation and signing to Portrayal Of Guilt Records, I really couldn't be more thrilled for CA.

Thank you Lasssie! Love the profile image by the way - I worked on an "ALL FUTURES DESTRUCTION" shirt for The Armed last year after meeting Tony (vocalist) at Outline Fest – such a lovely collective of people! That shirt was pretty different than what I usually do, I don't do many super tall designs, but I had the painted lettering painted from a collage I'd done and the band wanted to use it

Saw these guys open for Have a Nice Life last Friday in Amherst, MA. Excellent show, band played Red Looks Good, Ottessa and five brand new tracks, don't know the names but they were all stellar. Much more groovy and almost dance-goth type of stuff, really looking forward to that next full length from them. Have a Nice Life were excellent as well, excellent vibey set, a nice mixture of old and newer material from them.

I couldn't believe the pairing, almost missed out on tickets because the first night sold out like immediately but jumped right on it when they announced the second night.

mk we were at the same show =] the lead vocalist crushed it, has such a great presence. Was honestly disappointed their set was pretty short, I enjoyed them more than Have A Nice Life

listened to this album on the way to the show and I think it extra-clicked with me

I was totally hoping for like a 45-60 minute set since it was just the two bands so I was little bummed they only played for 30 but man, they crushed that 30 minutes. I vibed so hard lol

damn, I bet these guys are fun live. Jealous!

interesting to hear about the dance-goth bent. I’m kinda getting the sense these cats may be the sorts who don’t necessarily want to settle into an established sound

(this is probably a 4… was just giving it a wide berth for a while as part of the process)

Yeah, I was sort of shocked at how funky some of the rhythms were on their new songs, very fun and they were encouraging people to dance and stuff, it was great!
