My comment to push for second opinions of this album actually inspired people to lower their ratings which lowered its average score ha.



I'm good with being in the minority here, but the sound actually works for me. It's not pushing any limits, but operates well within a comfortable corner.



But I also see the new Delta Sleep the same way. So, I'm just not aligned with common opinion here at all.

ngl i kinda like tomato red lol. that and the closing 4 are like a 3.5 ep for me. i can dig the softest and loudest this has to offer but when it aims for the middle it really emphasizes the "mid"



this is still such a toughie for me to swallow on the whole. really made me eat my "jesse can totally make a pop album" words hard. i get the need to change things up, and usually its what makes an artist special to me, but the songwriting has to keep up with the changes where this just feels like he was too timid with showing his flair and character. feel like one of the most damning critiques of this i have is that these songs feel like anyone could have written them, which has never been true of the man once
