lol DDD and i having the same reaction to this as we did to AB back last june.

This is pretty great, don’t know if I’d put it as high as Anareta or even Idol but it’s very enjoyable. Cool to see them going in a more prog/thrash direction

the way this band builds tension to higher and higher peaks multiple times per song is what has me by the short hairs. every time they play a new riff you think “okay, it can’t POSSIBLY get more awesome” and then it FUGGIN’ DOES. right when you think they’re just getting ready to move on to the next song they bring the hammer down again and it gets MORE melodic and MORE epic and MORE layered and it just keeps happening and happening and happening until the last chord finally DOES hit and damn, my eyes are watering for some reason now. who the hell is chopping onions?



but in all seriousness. this is everything i’d been dreaming of and then some. flavors of death, atheist, and cynic, packed in tightly alongside notes of entombed and pestilence and somehow spicing things up with rush’s signature aroma as well. but, deep down, at the heart of this feast, it’s unmistakably and quintessentially horrendous.
