i don't entirely NOT see what you are saying Feather. I feel like they are both going for something similar. CWTS goes more all out in terms of scale while this, although still being pretty epic, is definitely the tighter album.

Them, Coletta, and Wolf & Bear releasing new stuff in the same month truly fills the void in this hellhold of a genre. So far Mind Rider and Maladapted are the best tracks on here.

I love the outro to Tithe so much.

This album has me finally going back and listening to their other albums since they didn't stick with me too hard before and goddamn, Wake is a beast. Gonna have to give New Age Filth a listen today as well.

@Grey thanks for being reasonable, shame on the rest of you for being blind. don't be too cool to admit the similarities to CWTS.

This album is great and already grew on me a bit, will definitely end up in my top 10 for the year. this is definitely better than NAF and I loved NAF too.

This was great on first listen but I totally forgot everything about it with a few hours. Why does that seem to happen with me and swancore bands these days???

@vult I had the same reaction to this after the first couple spins, but have started being more and more taken by it

That happened to me with the latest Royal Coda and it took a full year for it to click for me.

PTV are probably perfectly fine musicians but my god vocals like that/vocal production like that will make me turn that shit off instantly every single time. It's such an unfortunate stain on the entire post hardcore genre I genuinely don't know why anybody tryna sound like that and it should be left in 2009.

I am absolutely addicted to Tunnel Vision Alibi and 60 Minute Session Blocks atm. The more I listen to this, the closer it is getting to being my AOTY.
