I support anyone 1'ing this not because of the music being bad but because it took them like 5 years to write this and it's just underwhelming in so many ways. Villains was too but in a sense it was just kinda lame and jokey but this seems like trying to court the fans without really doing anything interesting or unique for the band.

^literally exactly. baffles me to no end that people can jam this album and be entertained, some seriously low-consciousness art right here

It's probably just me, but the album title transmits some kind of moroseness.

That said, I haven't heard any Queens of the Stone Age album, but it would be interesting if the subjectively perceived moroseness, was evident in the music as well.

I haven’t listened to era v in a decade but I did listen to sftd recently and it aged like milk and I’m ready to to say era v probably aged the best with absolutely no proof to back said claim up

That album and rated r are at least somewhat creative and different, why are we still making generic guitar worship in 2023 and pretending it’s exciting

This. These dudes must have some crazy calluses from all the knuckle dragging they did over the last 5 years to pen this album.

They could've wrote this in a month, I imagine what really took so long was Josh having to deal with what a piece of shit he has been especially lately.

Dude is not well, and I know one of my friends said sometimes art comes out of stuff like that (alluding to LC for example) but this is not it.
