I jammed the previous EP which is essentially a concise intro to this (caught me unawares - yeah I don’t pay much attention to track names, lol) and hmm it was tasty, definitely whetted the appetite for another full run here when I have the opportunity
The previous album is still sinking in but seems to have some great moments too

Haelegen II is insane, enjoyed it a lot on revisiting. Disc 1 is going pretty hard overall in fact

t/t coming in strong with some post-metal influence I swear, which is so seldom a negative. Very nice

It’s such a dense album fs. Defo post metal shenanigans, some djents, all nonsense and fun

Yeah, I think expanding upon all her previous elements into this excessive progressive package is surprisingly logical once you digest it
Considering how reliant certain parts of her music is on repetition (H.A.A.Q went all out on the totalism influence), this is a wonderfully executed change-up that retains those elements but expands upon them massively. Origin as a ‘bridge’ makes a lot of sense too, when I think about
More chamber, choral and glitch elements in BM please. Shit rules

one year (+) bump hmm
god the t/t is superb but it is A LOT (even for the ridiculousness of this album) to have a mere 6 minute ish break before another behemoth in Antigone II. The pacing is generally absurdly well executed considering how unwieldy it should be, but my word. Kinda wish this was marginally shorter as much as I do still enjoy it massively. Dejennaration is fantastic too.

Honestly would need to revisit it to give a detailed or even meaningful analysis, so I suppose that fact in and of itself might be a little telling. It hasn’t stuck with me the way HAQQ has and even though I (claim to) prefer this over ALIMONIES, I can actually hear/remember what ALIMONIES sounds like more clearly in my head than this one, too. I do recall, however, that that was my general consensus though: some absolutely amazing (top tier Liturgy) tracks spread just a tad too thin by a rather unwieldy run time. Will try to get around to it again soon.
