Indeed. This album pwns The Stings of Conscience but I still think The Oncoming Storm is immense.

i don't see the fuss about these guys. i watched a couple of songs on youtube from this album and it seemed like generic metalcore.

its hard not to be generic in the "metalcore" genre to be honest. but these guys pull it off extremely well.

i really think these guys make thier own sound, even though since they've been around a lot of bands have copied it

If they founded it though, they still would have to of been one of the first to do this, so that wouldn't make them generic. I guess what im saying is that you have to be kind of copying someone to be generic, and these guys are not copying anyone, people are copying them. Sort of. This Message Edited On 03.11.08

I have an idea. Who cares who copies who? If it sounds good, listen to it. =]

I think alot of you will realize over time that this album just has no lasting power. Its good, but not worthy of a 5. I had this rated at a 4.5 the first week I listened to it and now when I hear it, just fun for a listen or two once in a while.

Even if they founded this sound, which I find hard to believe, I still don't care for it. I don't hate it, I just don't liek OMGz rly love most metalcore. The only metalcore I like is bits and pieces of various bands, like Norma Jean and Underoath, but I haven't heard a metalcore album I like as much as Jane Doe yet.
