I have a ton of nostalgia for this album because it was one of the first tech-death albums I ever heard; I think I was only about 11 or 12 at the time, and I was using Project Playlist to find a bunch of metal bands. I can't underestimate how important that site was to me when I was a kid, because it (along with MusicMatch Jukebox) allowed me to discover bands like Death, Necrophagist, Atheist, Cynic, and a whole treasure trove of other groups

But now the site's just called Playlist and doesn't have streaming capabilities anymore :[

The pivotal places for my metal discovery were BMG Music and download dot com. Remember I'd just heard my first song with growls on Mushroomhead XX, their song Xeroxed and I started reading up on dm and signed up for a bmg deal for 14 CDs if you bought 2 at full priced and I scooped up some Death, Cynic, Sepultura, Deicide, Daath, Obituary, Chimaira, etc... Download dot com hit me with my first death metal track though with Dying Fetus- Your Blood is My Wine and I was fucking hooked! That site was individual track downloads and was mostly just underground bands that had their music available for free but it had some occasional old school death metal demos mixed in. Pessimist is the main band I recall getting into big time from it. Underrated band.
First tech death I really got into was Necrophagist. Early on in my death metal journey I was huge into tech death and I kind of grew out of that phase but brought a handful of albums with me and I dabble back every now and then.

First tech death I heard was Nihility. I was very late to discover this gem of a band. No weak albums in their rather short discography.
