Glad y'all are enjoying this but theres just way too much going on here that at least to my ear, doesnt seem to gel together. Lead work is pretty tight though.

Everything is thrown the same way at the same time, throughout...for too long

I actually like the drum sound, nothing wrong with it. Nice and organic. At least it's not that fucking trashcan lid sound that early deathcore bands like As Blood Runs Black seemed to like so much

This just slotted itself straight into my top 5 AOTY. Might not stay there once we get into the repeated listens phase, but I would say the chances of remaining are strong.

Listened to the trilogy today after some break, and it was much easier to digest this time around. Maybe I should give this more spins, definitely top tier deathcore anyhow

All I want to do is listen to this band right now. Every time I put something else on, I'm thinking about this instead.
The Pain Remains trilogy is god tier.

Ok, spinning the album from the beginning and yeah it does have serious flaws. Songs are way too long and the compositions really aren't that good. There are moments, but overall it is really tiresome to listen. The band's sense of dynamics is very lacking and the melodies from the main hooks indeed feel very similar to each other, as if the band tried to write the same song 7 times, but slightly differently.
The title trilogy is definitely a highlight though

What baffles me more is how hard people on youtube are jerking off to "To the Hellfire" in the comments... made me expect the best thing since sliced bread, literally. I have no idea what an internal world of a person who thinks that's the pinnacle of music looks like. But guess that's the usual fare on Youtube

Yeah, the song is not bad by any means. The trend of deathcore vocalists pushing a thousand different methods of doing harsh vocals continues. Not sure what to think of it, on the one hand it's pretty cool, on the other I'm still more impressed by the basic repertoire of deep growls + hardcore screams + black metal shrieks + good clean vocals

I heard about this Big Six band, and I swear to God, if the Will Ramos and Dickie Allen aren't popping and locking on stage, then I'm fucking out!
