I would pay $500 a ticket to see Demi in corpse paint and a priest gown screaming to blast beats but not this. I'm pretty sure that's what she would want anyways.

I don't hate this but I get the vibes of the label executives back-seat driving this so it's a bit disappointing.

well she doesn't compose so she has to rely on others making her music

"Getting Travis Barker on your album to prove how pop punk you are is sort of like getting Justin Vernon to prove how indie you are. What impresses me more is when bands throw totally non-related artists on their tracklist. Make a pop-punk album with Justin Vernon. An indie-folk album with Travis Barker. A black metal album with Taylor Swift. Think outside the box, people ;-)"

One of the few rock/metal albums where the bass guitar is actually at a decent volume! As a bass player, I appreciate this and it makes the album more enjoyable for me.

This album is such a messy, ugly, and fun romp. I really enjoy “Come Together”, “Happy Ending”, “Holy Fvck”, and “City of Angels” so far.

Man the variance between the Staff review and avg score is something haha
I'm not sure where this lands for me. It's definitely formulaic but it's catchy. We'll see how many listens it takes for me to get sick of it I guess

I think the song writing (especially near the back end) leaves something to be desired, but even then it's not bad, just nothing that hasn't been done before. But the highlights here are so fun to listen too.

I have never in my life care about Demi Lovato or her music but listened to this album on a whim and it is surprisingly consistently great. 29 is such a highlight, killer hook and great lyrics
