gave it more than enough chances, but I just can't get into a Porcupine Tree album without Colin Edwin

Wilson has some nice licks here and there, especially in Dignity, but the distorted bass doesn't work for me

I'm glad Steven found some love. Not sure that it benefited his music though. I know it's a shit thing to say but... well.. y'know

"To me this is right on par with their very best."

I mean, it's a personal opinion, but it can only be true in my personal opinion, if I ignore literally every other album of theirs except the debut.

None of their albums are bad in all honesty. Wilson and co. have a pretty stellar discography.

Deadwing is amazing, the long songs at least.

I also think tracks 2 and 3 have some dumb heavy parts, but a lot of the rest of this is really great. I feel the urge to jam plenty of times given that Chimera's Wreck, Never Have, and the best song of them all Love in the Past Tense all come at the end.

Album sounds much much better live; hopefully they release some concert footage soon

If Dignity and maybe Harridan were later in the track list then all the best songs would be in the second half, if you include the fantastic bonus tracks.

Funnily enough true for almost all PT. I love SW's very perfect and crisp production, but the raw energy of their live performances compliments their music excellently
