Regarding their return to Spotify, it could be like with Gary Glitter's music where there's been a legal agreement that the offending party will not receive a penny of royalties earned from their music - the other musicians involved still get their share though. That's what was said when Rock N Roll Part 2 was used in the first Joker movie - the label clarified that he won't get anything from it and his share goes to a charity or something.

it's even doubled by how they never had a particularly unique or distinctive style/sound. you can literally get everything they do from a 2000s Rock Spotify playlist with bands like 30 Seconds to Mars (if you can get past the weird cult shit), Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin etc. they were NOT some avant garde band that was so unique that they need to be inspiring all this bullshit. it's not like this was Frank Zappa or some shit.

that being said, i'm struggling to see how is it really worth the effort for THIS band when there's at least 100+ other bands that sound like this? hell early Thirty Seconds to Mars is right there if you still need your radio alt rock with a dose of controversy, considering Leto's a cult leader.
