"about as consistent of a 20+ song album I've ever heard tbh"

where's your 5, haha. this isn't like you...

I haven't heard the entire album yet so I'm allowed to ask this despite having no rating ;)

For some reason I thought I would toss this on and throw a 3 at it, but all of a sudden I realized how much of a fool that would make me. Some very creative things going here!

"UFOF > Songs/Instrumentals > Two Hands > Masterpiece > Abysskiss > Capacity"

Honestly, swap Capacity and Masterpiece, and Boney's got it

My approach this year is to forego ratings until my December year-end feature, then I'll reveal all my ratings at once.

The only thing stopping Dragon from being a 5 for me is that it is so long it lacks identity in the middle to back half. Some time after Little Things it begins to lose its character; no song is bad, but there are a few inessential moments that lessen the impact of the whole.

Maybe I would feel different if I was listening on vinyl and there were four distinct sides (a problem Beach House solved beautifully by releasing Once Twice Melody in four chapters) but I'm really struggling to find a cohesive thread to hold onto and push this into the truly memorable category.

Time Escaping just really threw me for a loop when it came on

@Sowing how am I supposed to know what to think is good and bad if you aren't showing me ratings until December?!

Title track here has possibly become my favorite, tied with Sim Swarm. Realizing that Sparrow is extremely repetitive
