Same Gmork89. Everfields, the title track, and Deep Cold get frequent listens, while the rest of NWS only get a listen if I do a full album run. Everfields' outro instrumental is just such a cathartic moment.

Strange to find it in this topic but I couldn't agree more

Everfields made me sob while tripping. Can't wait to cry my eyes out at Valence's soaring guitars as I hear about a fisherman freezing his ass off. The more I listen to it, the more I feel like it truly is one of the best songs they've written.

Listening to the rest of their discog I'm thinking this is their second strongest after Stone's Reach. Really enjoy the bookends and Hidden Window here especially, even if the closer here is just another attempt and a Countless Skies-esque finish.

Valence yes. According to Apple Music stats my top 5 most played songs this year were
1. Зима by Nordgeist
2. Hidden Window by Be’lakor
3. Crawling King Chaos by Cradle of Filth
4. The Parchment by Iron Maiden
5. Valence by Be’lakor

Something that's really got me with repeated listens is how understated a lot of this record is. Like, first few listens to Foothold: meh. Repeated listens: shit that early riff sounds proper grandiose like some dude is thinking of climbing a big ass mountain or something

Foothold is great but Opeth was never my cup of tea, so Sweep of Days is neither, along with Hidden Window. The latter could have been good but the part after piano break is not holding up

Tbh I love Opeth's Morningrise-Ghost Reveries run and I feel Sweep of Days is easily the weakest thing on this album. It's not bad per se, just doesn't feel like it has the intent and purpose of the rest of the record.
