This thing sounded amazing when I popped the vinyl on. I don’t see any issues with the production

Who tf heard a production problem here? Sure it's a bit loud (like 90% of today's records) but it's done perfectly, you can hear everything and the sound is excellent.
Also poppin vinyls is only for the chosen ones, so congrats!

Although prod can be seen as better than relentless mutation, I'm not sure I prefer this more polished version

It definitely feels good to be a metal fan. Countless bands are giving their all and creating excellent material.

I suppose I should throw this on. Never been a huge fan of these guys and when I saw them live it seemed like just a blur of noise but maybe that was just a problem going on from the sound man. I will say I've grown an appreciation for some of their songwriting after watching Dean's channel on YouTube. The meme implying that this is better than Necrophagist has intrigued me

i wouldn't know, but i do not doubt this shit sounds like 'a blur of noise' live

Yeah you'd be surprised. Saw then couple years ago live and they bored the fuck out of me but for one thing the sound was crisp af and their performance flawless.

> you can hear everything and the sound is excellent
it’s quite literally so brickwalled that you cannot discern one instrument from another. it’s flat mid range frequencies for literally every instrument, compressed to all shit without a single dynamic to be heard.
i know this is a losing battle but I just cannot tolerate metal that sounds like this. headache inducing.

i've nearly given up by now but otherwise i agree. this one sounds dr4 or something. reminds me of shrines
