well yes yeah yep agreed & am obviously not gonna dispute that this has jazz in the backseat lol, just found it a lil curious that the specifically jazzy tracks are the ones growing off you when i've never tuned into that vibe as more than an undertone

hmmm maybeeee
the whole less-is-more thing confused me for a while - as in, while it's still hit-or-miss for me, this is easily one of my favourite things she's done and i found that hard to square with it being possibly even more pared back than NFR or Chemtrails, which [redacted]. maybe a lot of it has to do with her personal tone here; i find it far easier to relate to these tracks than anything on the previous two, where i felt like the songs she was trying to sing were cliched, contrived or just unnatural (bless u White Dress) to her voice. and it helps that these songs are often v well constructed; defs had no hooks like Thunder or Violet For Roses on chemtrails
