"I never noticed how much they tend to recycle their riffs sometimes. Crisis has so much from the Ascendancy title track."
Yepppp that's a huge flaw of theirs even if it doesn't really bother me all that much. Feel like most guitar bands who make it to 5+ albums get that way to an extent but it's on a whole other level with these guys (granted, it also typically brings about their best material so I don't care).

Band would be the Nickelback of metal if Metallica hadn't ever made St Anger and then worked with Lou Reed. Instead they're just a disappointment. 😃

Yup it's def the radio song, still enjoyable for what it is with the bass and soloing

I really appreciate the moments when they do something they haven't done before. Like the outro of Phalanx. I know some people here don't like it, but I just think it speaks to their creativity and they need more moments like that

This is good for Trivium but average compared to Orbit Culture’s Nija album from last year, or something comparable like that

Never understood the term "radio song" for a metal act. Are we talking mainstream radio here, because I have never heard a band like Trivium on mainstream radio
