i get that maybe it's out there

but tom g warrior himself said vol 4 was THE album that inspired the hellhammer sound and aesthetics, the darkness from vol 4 and the depressive vibes



so since i read that interview ive sort of seen vol 4 as creating the thread that later developed into more recognizable iterations of black metal
