not as good as i wanted it to be, but still great

i just feel like they can do so much more, even in the confines of mainstream-forward djent-pop

I think they could bring in some post-metal influences and really elevate the djent game. There is some great atmosphere on here especially on songs like Constance and I’d love to see more of that

Album pretty solid. Sucks I blasted through it so quick since I had already listened to like 40% of it. I don't think Yellowjacket was a weak track at all. I'll never understand the Circle With Me hate. Really fun track.

Architects was releasing catchy songs since LF//LT, even with familiar song structure and focus on catchy hooks they still delivered on it fantastically with the now oft-emulated great use of atmospheric synths coupled with pretty fun riffs scattered about. They abandoned that almost completely and it turned to shit. This album leans towards the former than the latter, so I don't think it would be fair to make that comparison. Album doesn't come close to LF//LT or AOGHAU tho imo.

Yellowjacket would be a clear album highlight if Sam didn't drag his sweaty balls across the chorus. still a sick song tho
