Not sure where this sits yet but it’s for sure among my fav btbam albums. Only gripe is i’m continually underwhelmed by Human is Hell’s ending, I think it could’ve been much more satisfying. But that’s the ONLY gripe so far. This is incredible

I’m guessing it’s probably because there is a lot of anecdotal content here along with a very laidback approach to the review as a whole. Idk tho I didn’t neg it

I'm waiting for everyone else to catch up and realize human is hell is the best song here

It reminds me of Learning to Live for some reason. There couldn't have been a more brilliant closer.

I pos'd this review and am overall cool with it, but I think the writer would benefit a great deal from complementing that first-person attitude with a more conversational rhythm. Lots of homogenous short-mid sentence lengths and structures here - if you're gonna make it anecdotal or stream of conscious, then put a bit more personality into that delivery. Could see them going places if they double down on this

I don't get where the first paragraph of the review is coming from. The previous three BTBAM records sound nothing like what they were doing on Colors, TGM, and the Parallax releases, which also sound completely different from their first three albums. They've changed a hell of a lot over the course of their career, which is part of why they have been so divisive.
