It's funny because I saw them some months ago and Ogentroost was in the first published playset as the closer.

They were killing it (one of the most intense bands to see live, absolutely loved it), but some stupid drunkards and alcohol addicts were laughing and making noise all the time with glasses and bottles in the back of the concert hall.

Some of us got pissed of the noise, specially in the calm sections of some songs, and we started demanding silence. A guy even started to scream at them to stfu (in spanish). They didn't stfu and I could feel the band were getting kind of pissed at the situation too so when they were supposed to close with Ogentroost they stopped playing all of a sudden and the gig was over.



A Solitary Reign was incredible live but those fucking drinking bastards tainted what otherwise would have been an incredible show. I fucking hate alcohol man. It's for moments like that I really appreciate movements like straight edge.



PS: After giving this another spin I'm upgrading it to a 4'5. This is a huge grower and this band are what we need for post-metal to keep evolving and sending us the chills after the sad Neurosis situation. I'm gonna rock their tour shirt today, which is freaking awesome too btw.

yeah Ive been to a few of their shows over the years where loud shouting or talking has been an issue, only maybe 3 times out out of the 20 plus ive seen them but I can imagine it will get more and more as they get bigger. Luckily the 'shhh' thing has taken off but some people dont like being shushed. 'I paid, can do what I want' type of shit. Why people go to watch a band they paid for and talk the whole set Ill never know , well that a lie its 'booze' usually. Ive had numerous close fist fights, told peple ill meet them after the show if theyve got a problem just stfu during it. I remember they actauuly stopped and colin turned around and Levy throw a bottle at someone (That was more than just talking where just launching abuse dring the clean sections)

You, and dozens of other people , paid to listen to the artists and enjoy the music, so stop being such a dick, and if you have drinking problems go seek therapy jeez... Sometimes I wish GG Allin would arise from his tomb and scheduled some gigs again so these kind of people found a place where the artist would actually love that attitude and answered back.

Like...its one hour, give or take. Why cant you stfu for one hour? Its so weird. I remember scott kelly supported them in Berlin I think and these 2 guys were just constantly talking about how much they love Neurosis and Kelly (aged well but Im no one to talk) then the song would finish theyd cheer loudly then soon as the song started start talking again about how much they loved neurosis, they missed half the fking set.

Best band ive ever seen live. This records on the weaker side for them but jfc Ogentroost is a hell of an opener esp the alt mix, that drawn out suffocating atmosphere is intense
