Red Before Black isn't quite as good as this, but it still has one of my favorite CC songs of all time, Only One Will Die

Kind of runs into the same problem as a lot of death metal where every song sounds more or less exactly the same to me

Red Before Black as a full disc is boring, but it does have some salvageable themes.

From a production standpoint this sounds great. Very polished, well performed, but in the end it's hard not to feel like I'm listening to the same song 11 times over. There are some noteworthy moments but they don't happen often

I know the structure of Cannibal Corpse by heart, the band has a box of identical songs.

I hope one day the band will do something similar to A skeletal Domain, that album had a different production and more memorable riffs.

Every song doesn't sound the same though, I just don't hear that at all.

unusually melodic solos on this. Corpsegrinder in his 50s as brutal as ever.
