I think the songwriting of their 90s stuff is overall more interesting but they managed to transition to their modern sound really well. For as long as they’ve been going they have very little that’s not worth listening to

sorry i misrepresented what you said but oof, can't agree with that. definitely one of their best albums. took what character did and made it perfect.

Just because Fiction has the same sound doesn't mean it's on the same level as the other two. Always thought of it as a step down from the two near masterpieces before it.
