I just read that The Way Home is about the Malaysia 370 crash from three different perspectives: the folks getting on the plane, the pilot, and the families affected.



Apparantly, it was a subject that Ray and Jim became obsessed with, and so did I. Crazy that they never found that plane man...

Long time lurker, might as well start participating here on one of my favorite bands' latest album.



Definitely think this is the best of post-hiatus Fates Warning but I do wish I liked it more, if this is going to be their last album I hoped it would be one of their best.



It's not tiring to listen to at least, at 72 minutes that's darn impressive, maybe it'll grow on me more or I need to revisit it again after a while.

Thanks for the warm welcome Mythodea. Theories is another album I tried hard to really love given its acclaim, and while I do like it, I suppose something so unrelentingly metal isn't what I'm looking for in Fates.



Not Titan, but I did just listen to the new DT once, upon first listen it's got potential to be very solid, continues with the trend of the last 2 albums but with some added heaviness and better songs. People seem split on it but I'd say it's worth a listen.

Myth bro, if you're asking me, you simply can't compare demon vocals with the beauty that is Ray. The instrumentation is good, but the vocals are atrocious. Not for me. And it gets so much more attention than this.

Hmm, I remember not being amused by ''Atoma'', because in all honesty, melodeath is not my cup of tea. I can't remember if the vocals were to my liking though.

As a long time DT fan the new record is meh. The bands been on autopilot for the last few albums and they still kept their sound streamlined with two new guitarists sadly. If you don't mind growls to an extent Myth then I'd rec their Fiction album



Tbf I'm surprised LDGN was trending for as long as it was esp considering the poor average, but yeah of course Fates deserve a lot more love on here, and globally. DT are just a better known band so they get more traction
