cool record, but the piano part is indeed a bit awkward

yes
EDIT: no to the piano part being awkward, the song is meta as fuck.

finally spinning this and wow Come Heroine is so much better than any of the singles

yeah i think we're gonna see the same thing we saw with Stage Four in that the first 2-3 tracks are gonna become the most popular despite not being singles. they typically save the best songs for the record, and drop pretty decent tracks that turn incredible with context of the album. i dont wanna seem like a TA fanboy, but this could be a 5 before the end of the year, and they already have one (arguably two depending on how i'm feeling) so idk maybe i'm biased or these guys are just ridiculously consistent

last night's stream was pretty cool they absolutely killed Limelight and they played Whalebelly
and afterwards Jeremy hosted a dj set and q&a

First listen through and I like it. Need to spend some more time with it before rating, but I'm definitely feeling it. There are certain parts that remind me of old Balance and Composure and I love it.

Last night's stream was great. Green and Lament were highlights for me.
This band has yet to release anything less than excellent, though this is probably my least favorite of theirs. Still lots of room to grow over the next few listens.

The people I thought would reach out... Turns out they would not.
On the worst kind of days, my phone was mostly silent.

Yeah the closer is cool, I like the change of pace. I think the t/t is my favorite so far, but I'm like 2 or 3 listens in at this point.

Love the drum work on this! Not a classic like Stage Four, still could potentially rise to 4.5 with repeat listens

@Bandit Man, I gotta say... Not only is the t/t my favorite song on the album, its already up there in my top 5 Touche songs EVA.
Feign is creeping up there too.

@Jay Nice brother! I really like Feign too, I think that was actually the song that was reminding me a bit of old Balance and Composure. I'm really happy with how this thing turned out, honestly. Early rating is probably a 4 with potential to grow for sure.

This is probably going settle at a high 3.5 for me -- there are some moments of brilliance like Come Heroine and Limelight but I do miss the frantic energy of the previous two albums. There's some nice dynamic variety, but too often it seems to aim for "subdued" and hit "boring" by accident.
that said I was afraid from the singles that this would be a 2.5 or worse so, not bad all told.

Too bad the stream was at unacceptable hours for people outside the US, would have loved to check it out
Feign is one of the songs I liked most on first listen. Underrated so far

Savoring is def. my favorite. a broad cast good, opener good, limelight good.
feign and reminders are almost like skip tier for me tbh. dont do much.
