I've been enjoying the album. The Gilmour-esque solo in Everything I Say is quite nice.

"Does anyone know the sample (?) from the beginning of track 3? The lady speaking? I heard it in other music too I think! Minilogue - Blomma for instance."

Okay, really enjoyed the first two tracks, but the three songs after that sound more like their last release. Not bad per se, but I enjoyed those quite a bit less. Now into the 12 minute beast we go...

everyone says the album loses steam after the first few tracks and i don't really get that. i love the first 3 but i think the album gets better as it goes. cry of love, everything i say and the invisible past are the highlights of the album for me

and it's one of those albums that should be a grower for everyone, some have said it was best on first listen, but i don't see how that's possible

Either the first track or The Invisible Past is my fave here. It isn't top-heavy at all to me.

Was thinking I'd be rolling my eyes quite a bit while listening to this but it's quite interesting. Lots of cool sounds and a mix of genres

how anyone can think the album loses steam to me is nuts - it's banger after banger and it finishes on the best track

So nice to se so many 5's for this. Also Dewinged, very good review. Nudged me to finally listen to this and it turned out to be exactly what I was looking for and more. Kudos!

Also, about it losing steam, I don't get that either. It's one of the more consistent albums I've heard, Everything I Say and The Invisible Past are too good. You can't listen to this and not look forward to them while enjoying the first few tracks. I can agree about that closer itself though, it's not a bad cover at all (Belinda is a great singer), just feels out of place a bit.

Cheers Krpa, happy to read that!

Yeah, the Bauhaus cover could have been placed before the Hulten track and it would have helped the album to end gracefully, but still, a very small drop in a ocean of goodness.
