for one to have had a downfall, shouldn't they have been good in the first place?

I enjoy stuff all the way up to their s/t, but those first few albums are gold.

Cali was amazing and Nine was pretty good. The band is 10x better without Tom LongDong

The sput review is fine, but it's not on HardTimes' level. Then again, few things are.

As long as you're self aware about it, I can't really ask for more.

Saying that there is more bad than good in any genre is axiomatic.
But i guess it's more evident in genre's with more artists so i guess Rap could seem more prevalent in that there are probably more Rap artists right now than any other genre.
So, going by statistics only, there are more bad Rap artists than any other genre, in absolute terms, which makes it seem like there is a lot of bad Rap. Because there probably is, since it's the likely statistical outcome of most artists sucking.

Bad & good are so largely relative though. They aren't mathematically quantifiable in any way, with consensus being the only somewhat measurable factor. Even then, if consensus is to be wholly believed, this album is actually good cause it was at the top of Billboard. Which it totally isn't good lol. I just don't like the style of pop punk and that's a subjective thing. I'm much more willing to work with hip hop, just because of how my brain is set up haha

Enjoyed the album. The lyrics weren’t as deep and meaningful as many of his rap songs but it’s a pop punk album and was made to be fun and carefree. It’s an escape from the doom of 2020. He gave a great performance of the album on his live stream.

The transition between singers mid-way through forget me too is so beautiful.

This sounds “good” at your first listen but the second time ‘round the lyrics are absolutely horrible and it’s very one dimensional.
