I don't get that complaint. The back half has some of the best songs on here. Arguably the best between second skin and poverty of self. Plus Origin is on the back half. Whole album is a masterpiece though in my opinion so idk.

I get so defensive when it comes to this album lol I just can't even keep track of the narratives.
"I liked the more poppy sound of the EP over this"

second half would be a lot stronger if it weren’t for the persistent butt rock clean choruses

preciate someone else agreeing haha. the production on the EP was also kind of muddier. i liked it with the new vocal themes. seemed more organic?

I love this album a lot. some really good choruses and vocal melodies. the depressive vibe gives it a metalcore katatonia kind of feeling
|

i think its maybe the production on this i don't like actually. its TOO good. too crystal clear mall core.
make it a little muddier.. a little more sloppy and the anger will stand out more..

my biggest complaint is prolly the songwriting/song structures. but the tracks that are good are really good so prob should bump this up some
