I will 100% bat for the title track, that guitar line in the chorus with Reba's vocals is so killer. When Jami's vocals jump in for the outro is when the song ascends to legendary status. The way Code Orange utilizes vocals continues to blow my mind.

was revisiting some 2020 albums for the end of the year and this was one of them. actually kinda dug it this time around. it's nothing legendary or mind-blowing but it's fun meathead metal.

"simping" is such an ridiculous term

Every time they make a glitchy noise and the track goes silent before picking back up again I want to hate it but I just don't. It feels like they're still trying to hone in this style but there's potential for them to nail it in the future. Especially with the heavier/faster tracks.

imagine not simping for the term "simping"

There's a lot here that appeals to me and in parts it really does, but the whole album just doesn't quite click for me. As others have said, it's like 2 different bands at times and, whilst I generally like the glitchy/industrial thing they have going on, at times it is a bit OTT/annoying/redundant.
Solid listen but probably won't rush back to it in a hurry.

meh. It’s not as terrible as I used to think
I actually really like Sulfur Surrounding. Bleeding in the Blur was my favorite off Forever so I guess I’ll just like the one alt rock song they seem to be putting on every album

I really love all the more accessible alt metal stuff like Who I Am, Sulfur Surrounding, and Autumn and Carbine. Those songs very clearly eyeing mainstream rock radio but they are a lot more technical and elaborately constructed than what you'd expect from those stations. If I heard those songs on my boring ass local rock station then good, it's what hard rock stations should be playing.

Reba has the voice for it. I’ve always felt like she was the best one in the band by far

She definitely has the best voice. How the band arranges their vocals I think is their secret weapon, it feels they give more thought to their vocals than almost any other -core band

I’ve seen snippets from their liveshows and goddamn do they have an insane amount of energy. Really taken aback by how far they’ve ascended, good for them. Can’t wait to see them open for Slipknot

I saw these guys at Mayhem Fest 2015. They stood out for their high energy and high aggression. Truly a memorable set from a budding band, seemingly destined for stardom. I haven't listened to their new tracks since "Forever" was released.
IS THIS THE SAME BAND??? WTF HAPPENED??? One of the biggest "WTF" moments of my life is listening to this album.
