The new album is awesome. Personally one of my favorites so far. The atmosphere they create and the melodies, even the heavy parts... damn good shit.

I don't know about that. I'm a sucker for derivative atmospheric metalcore. I couldn't care less about whether it has been done before as long as it is being done well. They're not breaking any new ground, but I do think they raised their own bar and brought something fresh to their personal style.

Hey fair enough, I don't expect them to reinvent the wheel with this one. As a huge fan though all I want is Amity to be Amity again and actually write a good ALBUM. Not just a couple good singles and the rest is trash.

i am a huge fan of this band and i would never expect them to break any genuinely new ground in the grand scheme of all music lmao. i also dont need that to still love something

Quite easily their best since Ocean. Death and the Setting Sun and Close to Me are MAJOR highlights.
Also how good is the title track despite being the "soft" song on the album? Ahren's performance on that song is breathtaking.
