Yeah... "Destinos" is just overall not a very interesting track but that sample really doesn't help it. Cut out that and "Everything We Forget" and this would be an easy 4 tbh.

Phew, finally got around to this and all side A has going for it is the ending of Dracula Bells. Side B is pretty good, but not worth the slog. I might just delete a few tracks and pretend this was an EP.

I skip the first few minutes of Destinos too. Ive listened to this four times now, more than i listen to most 3.5s in such a short span of time. Im wondering if that alone earns it a bump, or maybe im just listening cause its new HANL and i want to like it more.

basically same for me. replay value is there but how much of it is me wanting to discover something i missed or something that hasn't yet clicked that would substantiate the work a bit more lol.

The bass could've been bumped up more in the mix especially on Side A which is the HANL w/the live band portion of the album. If you've ever seen them live, you'd know what I mean and if you don't then simply put: live HANL bass is pretty loud & bouncy but sits in the mix well enough that it doesn't step over the rest of the band.

I think one of the high points of the 2 other lps is just how strange/mysterious everything sounds due to the lo-fi and low-cost production and that for me is kinda gone here. Still enjoying this but didn't make me lose my shit like the unnatural world did when it first came out
