Production is very different on both and fulfills its objective in either case in my opinion

I just think ordo has some cool riffage happening beneath all that murk, which makes it work so well

Grand declaration on the other hand sounds extremely unfocused and all over the place

what is even the purpose of that 7 second track

Like the re-release production of Grand Declaration a fair bit (even if losing the cold clinical atmo of the original kind of goes against the original purpose)

Glad they’ve comfily settled in with Attila on the mic, though. No one else they’ve had on the mic twists their sound like he does

It kinda falters by the end... so that's why I'm giving it a STRONG 3.0 x)

Order is probably my favorite these days. DMDS is a close 2nd

It's kind of a toss up between this and DMDS for me... I like the aggressive pacing of many of the tracks on this, but DMDS has some nice vocals and atmosphere

This album is surprisingly good. Just gave it a second spin and I'm loving it. Also agreeing with the reviewer a bit on the behemoth type vibes. That ain't nothing to complain about tho. I'm seeing these boys tomorrow in NYC. I'm hype. Also If Wolf's Lair Abyss was a fleshed out album, might have been my favorite Mayhem.
