Its a common sentiment among young left leaning people, a pretty stupid one tbh, that it doesnt matter if you assault someone if theyre a nazi or racist or whatever. Free game, right? The left is supposed to be better in that regard (not dehumanizing people). If i can recognize that criminals get that way because of a combination of socioeconomic factors, i can recognize that fact for nazis too, as much as i dislike them. Thinking people are just bad because theyre bad is some Ben Shapiro shit.

Honestly this is why i think the left can take some pretty good pointers from Christianity in regards to understanding, forgiveness and humility. A lot of the relishing in violence against bigots just seems so wrong headed to me and ive taken to really trying to stop enganging or indulging in that 'nazi gets hit in the face' shit.

Some good takes guys. I’ve never understood the whole ‘we’re all about tolerance/acceptance’ schtick yet anything is fair game when talking about radical groups of people such as nazis. Again, not saying they should be getting away with preaching hate, but there are ways of doing things and violence isn’t the answer. Funny how they don’t appear to recognise the hypocrisy.
