They probably expected a cool synth solo

Bright Horses and Night Raid are gorgeous though. Hoping this grows on me heavy. Like I can tell it’s really good but not quite hitting me right now.

Also when he starts singing "And I love you" on Spinning Song. Chills.

k this is actually growing off of me a lot now. a lot of it is overly saccharine and the fact that he rarely sings is starting to bother me + some truly annoying sections.

>How do you come back from the death of your son and make an album?

Suffering for art has produced some brilliant shit. You really can't find better inspiration for making an album.

Need to find time to jam this again. Want it to be more than a 3/5.

This is one of the best albums of the past few years, since Skeleton Tree I guess.

Bright Horses is slowly becoming my favorite song of all fucking time. It’s like our generations “What a Wonderful World” in a sense

If you like listening to a grown man reciting high school girl poetry to melodramatic music, this is for you, certainly not for me. One of the most overrated bands/artists I have ever come across. This album would me so much better if it were just music and no nick cave.
