I like all those 3 albums, but yeah TAOM is one my absolute fave records. Should be worth a cursory listen at least.

The Always Open Mouth is peak Fear Before but I always will love Odd How People Shake is an absolute love too. Art Damage I rarely ever listen to but its still a good one.

newest SpaceCowboy reminds me of that Drop Dead, Gorgeous-metalcore shit that was popular from like 06-08

Drop Dead Gorgeous were closer to the early 2000s stuff than most of their contemporaries tbf. I actually dont mind Worse Than A Fairy Tale but everything else they did was kinda meh.

Everything by SYSC up to thid moment beats out anything that DDG have ever done.

Hell yea they are

Guitar effects on Bedlam Blues are whack and I love it. Sounds like 80s King Crimson

The more I listen to this, the better it gets. Definitely metalcore AOTY, maybe overall metal AOTY, and maybe even flat out AOTY for me.

Album rules when it's playing it lowkey, less is more...which isn't often. But also maybe I was expecting something better from the hype.

good review as always, tho as a general rule you shouldn't ever start a sentence with numbers, as you do right at the beginning

Disappointed with this album but it still does a lot exceptionally well. Band's consistently pushing core's boundaries.
