That's why I'm scared to check out that new Devin Townsend

Everyone's calling it cheesy and the last thing I want is to develop a severe case of lactose intolerance

I can't say that Townsend didn't came to mind while listening to it, indirectly though...I was a bit afraid to mention...

I’m going to listen to the Swedish version I think. Can’t handle mikael’s post watershed lyrics in english

Yeah I'm going for the Swedish version too.

Banemannen totally makes me happy. It's exactly what I hoped they would do and further proves my idea that they've found some heat/energy again to go to new places. Super glad about that.

(Plus AXE!)

Swedish version sounds good idea - lyrics and vocal intonations def brought this down at least 1 point on the ol' score board

Agreed, being able to make out the lyrics was not an asset.

Man I'm digging Kontinuerlig drift too! So different, the colours in the melodies for instance in the singing and riffs. Plus Axe is killing it.

The ending drum section of Kontinuerlig drift should have gone for ages. Love it.

But then the Slut arrived. Let's see what they are about.

Slut is the best song here

It's nice agreed! Some Watershed sounds in the mix. Plus those echoing drums in the outro (super mega professional term) are a nice touch.

Lovely record on first spin. I'm happy for now, stoked to give this some more spins and we'll see where it goes.

Nice, Trif! There are some stunning moments on here. The closer is one of their best too.

I thought heritage was great but watershed was far better. Haven't been especially into their sound this decade and worried I'll feel the same about this, based on what people are saying.

Hmm yeah I could see that. It's very musical-y, and they're doing things they've never done before.

Love your rating too Luc, I have hopes this is going to end up there too maybe. The potential is definitely there.

Album is a solid rocky, proggy, riffy, belter. I really like it.

I see a lot on reddit call this their best prog rock album and what the previous three have been building up to. I like Heritage a bit more but I'm inclined to agree. It's their most realized record in this era yet.
