Yeah but the album is predominantly Thrash and it really does bite off Exodus and Kill Em All hard without being as good as those are. Like sure songs like Superbug (which I find to be the worst song on this) exist but the album is pretty straight-forward meat and potatoes Thrash. I do feel like the King Gizzard-isms that are put throughout the album do make this a step above other modern bands and I do find it to be a fun jam but they couldve done more with this sound

Good god, this thread is bad.
Aside from Polygondwanaland, which I adore, King Gizz has never been groundbreaking in much else besides their generally prolific output of various genres and ideas. They're just really good funjam. They don't deserve exalted praise but should be given credit for quality output through all their relentless touring (and awesome live shows.)
